For a question that looks wrong, the quickest way is Report a wrong question in the app, because it includes the question's code.

Report a wrong question

Under every question there is a link called Report a wrong question. Tap it and the app opens an email to us with a short code already in it. The code lets us see exactly the same question and check the answer. Add a line about what looks wrong if you can. We look at every report.

Restore a purchase on a new phone

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. It uses the Apple Account you bought with. With Family Sharing, family members can do the same on their own devices.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are asked for from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides on refund requests. If something in the app isn't working as it should, please email us first so we can put it right.

Move your progress to a new phone or iPad

If iCloud is switched on for Show Working, your progress follows you when you sign in with the same Apple Account.

Delete your data

In the app, go to Settings and scroll to the Danger zone. You can clear one profile, or everything on this device and in your iCloud. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to ask us to delete. Your purchases stay with your Apple Account, because Apple holds them.

Reminders not arriving

Reminders are set on your device. Check that notifications are allowed for Show Working in your iPhone or iPad Settings, and that the reminder is switched on in the app's Settings.

Exam boards and topics

Show Working follows the Department for Education's GCSE maths subject content, which all the exam boards in England use. Shape, probability and statistics are on the way. If something in your course seems to be missing, please tell us.
